PCC & Footing Work

PCC stand for Plain Cement Concrete. Reinforcement not involved in it hence it is called plain cement concrete.

PCC provides rigid impervious bed to RCC in foundation. Hence bedore starting of any RCC work or masonary work on the excavated soil PCC work is being done.

Leveled  surface can be achieved by doing PCC on soil.

As per requirement of site we can do PCC with different grades of concrete. Mostly M 10 and M 15 grade concrete prefer for PCC work. The ratio for M 10 is 1:3:6 means 1 part of cement, 3 part of sand and 6 part of course aggregate by volume. The ratio of M 15 is 1:2:4 means 1 part of cement,2 part of sand and 4 part of course aggregate by volume.

We can do mixing of concrete by concrete mixing machine with specifiend water cement ratio. RMC is also the option where mixing is being done with admixures and maintaining minimum water cement ratio.

Footing Work

The structural element  made from poured concrete and reinforcement with rebar. Footing is part of structure which transferes the load of structure to underlying soil. The purpose of footings is to support the foundation and prevent settling. A footing is placed below the frost line and then the walls are added on top. Size  of footing is decided according to type of structure.Type of footing is finalize according to soil condition. Isolated footing, Combined footing, Raft footing, Strip footing are the very common footings.
